Who counts as family?
Family reunification covers the spouse and minor children of a foreigner with temporary or permanent residence in Montenegro. Adult children and parents can qualify when they depend on you. Marriage and birth certificates need an apostille and a translation by a certified court translator.
Proof of funds without freezing your savings
Each family member must show financial means for the permit period. You do not have to block personal savings: your company can employ your spouse or issue a guarantee. Before we file, we compare the options and pick the cheapest and cleanest one for you.
Schools, kindergartens and doctors
Public schools in Podgorica and on the coast accept foreign children with a residence card, and several international schools teach in English. State health insurance starts with residence registration, and private clinics are affordable. We join your first visits and translate.

How much money must I show for each family member?
About €7,450 for your spouse and half that for each child, for a one-year permit. You can cover it through your company instead of blocking savings.
Is my spouse allowed to work in Montenegro?
Yes, if your company employs them under a separate work registration, which we arrange. The family reunification permit itself covers residence only.
Does a child need a criminal record certificate?
No, only adults do. Children need an apostilled birth certificate and, where it applies, the other parent's consent.
